Meet Tim

Meet Tim

“The most important thing to know about me is that I’m not a politician. I just want to serve the 7th district in Washington, then come home like the founders intended.”

Tim grew up in Bethlehem and graduated from Liberty High School before embarking on a 14- year career in TV journalism, most recently as the Business Reporter for WFMZ-TV.

It’s no surprise that television ended up in his bloodstream; his mom Shelley Brown hosted her own show on PBS 39 before becoming President and CEO of the State Theatre in Easton, and his dad Kerwin has worked as a director for World Wrestling Entertainment since the mid-1980s.

During a tenure at Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, Tim worked as a producer for Greta Van Susteren before ultimately settling in for a rewarding stint with journalist and libertarian John Stossel.

It was under the guidance of Stossel that Tim honed his craft, and observed firsthand how common sense limited government, when it protects economic and personal liberty, sets the stage for individuals to prosper on their own.

After that, Tim co-created and ran two news shows for Fox Business, “The Independents” and “Kennedy”, before making the move on-air as a reporter for WFMZ.

While at Channel 69, Tim spoke every day to frustrated entrepreneurs in our area who are tired of government holding their businesses back. He also listened to his neighbors about their growing disgust with our broken political system, and their hunger for better choices at the ballot box. Simply put, people from all over the Lehigh Valley are fed up with picking the lesser of two evils. After careful consideration, Tim made the decision to leave his career at WFMZ and enter the race for the 7th District independently of the two major parties, as the official Libertarian candidate.

While not campaigning, Tim develops original TV shows, plays the guitar and loves running. He lives in Bethlehem with his girlfriend Angela, who produces the HGTV series Home Town.
